This has been sitting in my drafts folder for a long time, and after reading it over a few times, I haven't found any sufficiently satisfactory conclusion to it, in part because the central question appears to me to be unsolvable. Summary
It'd been almost a year since Danny brought down his walls and let Manny into his life. The masked hero had brought out a range of emotions in Danny that Danny himself had long since thought he'd never feel again. It was confusing and awkward at times, but he knew that going in. After all, there was no chance that a long-distance relationship with a superhero from an alternate universe wouldn't have some bumps along the way. But at the end of the day, Danny at least knew that he was happier than a year ago.
His parents had known about his identity as a halfa for years now, so he thought that telling them about Manny would be easy. However, when you spend the better half of your teenage years hiding who you really are from your parents, it's a bit difficult to introduce them to your secret boyfriend.
