Robert felt blood drain away from his face as his colleague began to flicker in front of him; he shot out of his chair and held her steady, fearing her legs might buckle under her at any moment. From this close, her breathing sounded like a skateboard rolling on the sidewalk.
"Why the fuck did you bother coming in today? Do you honestly think you can do anything besides laying flat on your ass?" Robert sighed, practically dragging her towards the infirmary.
"Blazer would have my ass if I ditched a shift again." She shrugged. An obvious lie.
"Ever heard of taking PTO? The only thing Blazer could currently be getting on your ass for is being a walking health hazard and an on-field liability,"
