This shouldn't be possible. Her mother had made sure that it would never happen again. All the gates were closed, not a sliver of opening between the worlds. She shouldn't be here. There was no way she could ever be here.
But she was here. Crown Princess Aurora Whitethorn Galathynius was far from home. A being of fire and sea and earth trapped under the stars. And all she ever wants is to get out of here and find her way back to her family.
But there is a catch. There always is. She has to pretend. Pretend that she was maddeningly in love with the Prince of Night, the future High Lord of the Night Court, a male with the most peculiar eyes of violet.
Who also, coincidentally, happened to be her husband.

Why had he even gone to the dinner? Why had he allowed himself to look up the moment his shadows whispered that Gwyn had arrived? Why had his heart betrayed him so immensely, to the point that it had almost ceased to exist altogether when he saw her in that gods-damned teal dress. He wasn't even sure if he would've called it a dress. The term was too commonplace. It was more of a dream than a dress. In fact, it was exactly like the dreams that haunted him anytime he was able to get a fragmented modicum of sleep.
