It’s been like this all night. Some girl will find a way to strip down to their bikini top in front of Sasuke, waiting for a piece of his attention before then, and only then, deciding to remove the towel they had draped over their chest. Another literally wrapped herself around his arm. She hung off him bodily for minutes until he managed to take his arm back.
Naruto has witnessed it all, and done nothing.
He should be proud of Naruto. He clearly heard Sasuke before. He’s holding Sasuke’s words to heart; that Sasuke isn’t interested no matter what boobs get thrown at him or cleavage is on display. He only has eyes for Naruto.
Naruto, like he promised, is playing the perfect boyfriend. He’s keeping his cool. Even his touches remain calm and casual. A gentle hold on Sasuke’s hip when they’re close enough to touch. A quick kiss to his hair before Naruto goes bounding off to greet Gaara when he arrives with his siblings. A nod in Sasuke’s direction when he strolls past, despite Sasuke standing between two girls making eyes at him and giggling at his every word.
Without a hint of Naruto’s jealousy in sight, the night goes on smoothly.
And Sasuke hates it.

Let's just say that's where the real story begins.
Alternatively, neither of them realizes just how much they need each other until they're being forcibly torn apart.
"Stay close," Katsuki muttered, stepping closer to Izuku so he could better protect him. Izuku grit his teeth. He wasn't enjoying feeling like a damsel, but really...what other choice did they have? In their current situation, they were severely and quite utterly fucked.
"You have to leave me," Izuku blurted as the creatures closed in. Katsuki was now accounting for both of their backs—Izuku couldn't even stand himself upright. He was a liability. Useless. Katsuki had to leave him—it was the only way.

Seven years ago, Sasuke left Naruto and Sakura in their home village to go abroad for reasons entirely unknown to them.
Seven years later, Naruto and Sakura are in an admittedly rocky relationship, but studying at a top university and leading peaceful lives - until Sasuke returns out of the blue.

"I never hated you," Sasuke whispered hoarsely. "I could never."
Naruto stood immobile, transfixed by Sasuke's heavy gaze. The alcohol had tinted his face a dusty pink, and a few stray strands of inky hair were clinging to his cheekbones. Only the quick sound of their breathing could be heard in the silence, and Naruto's own heartbeat, thundering in his ears. Sasuke was staring at him so earnestly. Naruto suddenly felt the wild urge to reach a hand up and brush the man's hair out of his face, but resisted.
"Do you mean that?" He asked instead, waiting with baited breath for Sasuke's answer.
Sasuke swallowed, and Naruto couldn't help it - his eyes followed the motion of his Adam's apple, the line of his smooth throat. He wanted to kiss that throat. Or choke it. Or perhaps do both.
His eyes flicked back up as Sasuke gave an almost imperceptible nod.
