Summary

When Stiles arrives back in Beacon Hills with a fresh college degree, ready to get in the garage and lead Allison's team straight through the NASCAR minor leagues, the last thing he expects is to have to share training space with Derek Hale, the Crew Chief for the town's rival racing team. As the qualifying races approach for the next season, tensions rise, and it doesn't look like either of them are going to be ready to hit the track.
Scott thinks maybe they should just kiss. The traitor.
Even as the car slowed, its engine growled low under the rain, overpowering the atmosphere with a full rumble. Stiles felt it in his chest, sparing a brief moment to be amazed - and remembering why he loved sports cars - as the passenger side window rolled down.
And then he froze, shocked still for a completely different reason.
"Derek?"
He looked good. And Stiles hated him for it.

“My mother’s Christmas dinner is this evening,” Derek says, and those words really should not have that effect on Stiles’ stomach.
Not that he’s really paying attention. “Mm?” he questions. “Yeah, I’m going to be there, like every year. So?”
Derek closes his eyes, and Stiles swears he can see that blush coming back. He holds his breath again, as Derek inhales deeply. The werewolf’s mouth starts to twitch at the corners, and when he speaks through his small smirk, his words are nearly a whisper and his breath brushes over Stiles’ face.
“I forgot to make anything.”
Stiles blinks. Then realization downs on him as if the snow outside had just crashed into a blizzard.
“Holy shit, she’s going to kill you!” he cries.

Or: Stiles really wasn't expecting to have to deal with his crush at ass o'clock in the morning to help him get ready for a Christmas party. Well, he wasn't expecting everything else to happen either. -

Summary
It was just a summer job, and Stiles had made his peace with being doomed to paper cuts and replacing ink cartridges until the semester started up. Then Derek walks in, charms a cranky copy machine, and catches Stiles' attention with his alleged "animal rescue operation". Stiles is going to save the innocent pets of Beacon Hills from kidnap and ransom if it's the last thing he does.
Or, this is what happens when someone says "coffee shop au" and someone else hears "copy shop au"
