Not only was there a cat in her house, but there were also fake mice scattered around the otherwise meticulous floor, one of which the black figure was chasing. There's also a cat tower in the corner of the living room.
It had only been a week since Navia had last visited Clorinde's place, and none of this was here.

Selfishly, instead of the usual disdain within a child, she found a craving for more. A new sense of purpose.
The day after her 18th birthday, a letter from the academy arrives at her door.
Following the blessing of her achievement, the harrowing teasing of friends and a stupidly, hot princess who just happened to have all the snark in the world, Clorinde must find a way to endure the years.
And not let Navia Caspera, future head of the Nuiwaite house, be the one to take her down.

Summary
It's been 3 months since Jinu died for Rumi and the new Honmoon established. Sometimes she doubts whether she knew Jinu at all. It felt like a fever-induced dream brought on by the panic of, you know, condemning the entire world to the whims of demonkind. But one night she hears the familiar sound of a pot being knocked on her balcony, and she might have to rediscover what it means to be truly gone.
Jinu's still here...but conditionally until the two of them go down a path neither can escape from. Falling for each other might be more complicated than they think, leading them down a rabbit hole that's littered with gaps in memory and time, faulty magical powers, and doubling it and giving it to the next person.
Rumi and Jinu must find a way back to each other through themselves, others, and time itself...? Shamanist temples, hunters past, and a couple of demons sounds like the perfect recipe for a healthy budding relationship!
The two disagree on most everything, but will their passion consume them or save them?

She presses her lips together — Clorinde thinks through a brief haze of stupor, that she might take their quiet morning agenda further — and the slight tremble her voice brings out fills in the silence of rustling sheets.
“Clorinde.” It is not a full sentence. The weight of her name holds everything perched between Navia’s lips. “Marry me?”

Navia asks Clorinde to marry her. The proposal only has some slight repercussions.
(or, alternatively: clorinde goes on a 24 hour existentialism crisis on repressed childhood trauma, the guilt of killing your girlfriend’s dad, and marrying navia. it only goes slightly haywire.)
