Summary
On a random morning, Theo goes outside and finds a half-dead elf on the doorstep of Pelargir. Taking him in, thereby defying Kemen and his Númenorean principles, proves to be the best decision he could’ve made.
He’s not entirely sure if he committed a war crime when he cut the elf’s hair for practical purposes, though.

Or: In which Sauron co-opts his former boss' war crimes, Celebrimbor is super fucking dead, Elrond is really confused about the random horse that keeps randomly following him, Theo and Kemen are always two seconds away from murdering each other, Isildur has no sense of direction whatsover, Adar is scheming as per usual, Galadriel is in a constant state of rage, Gil-galad is hiring until he’s not, Durin and Disa think all elves are melodramatic idiots, Treebeard discovers the wonders of gallows humor, and Elros Tar-Minyatur is still haunting the goddamn narrative.

"Try anyhow?" Ereinion implored Elrond, softly, and he blessed his friend when Elrond did not question these orders, as if he thought it entirely worth his time and power to dote upon this old, near-dead thrall.
