Summary
Written in 2010 during Wrath of the Lich King, revised/edited in 2022 during Classic Wrath.
This is a World of Warcraft story set in the game itself. It follows the progress of two young girls who become best friends and who train (=level up) to become soldiers of the Horde. It features guild mates, dungeons, and everything you know from the game, but with fleshed-out, "real" characters in a continuing story.
The girls grow up, make new experiences, join a guild, strike up new friendships, fall in love and do pretty much everything anyone does growing up, except that they also train to be soldiers.

Maiev Shadowsong has made a lot of mistakes in her long life...not least of which was falling madly in love with Illidan Stormrage, the man who hated her--and the man she killed. So when Maiev is given the quest to resurrect Illidan during the events of Legion, Maiev doesn't know if she can save his soul from oblivion...or learn how to live with him afterwards. This is a story about trauma and trust, and the capacity to forgive.
This fic is a sequel to my previous Illidan x Maiev story, Prey, and makes quite a few references to it. In *this* story, I'm going to attempt to follow some of the broad storylines from Legion, just rewritten to give Maiev and Illidan some desperately-needed character growth. They both deserve to have some good things happen to them, and I guess I'm foolish enough to attempt to do it.

Ask and you shall receive, but sometimes it’s the Twisting Nether that answers your call. Priest/Demon AU. Some bits are very obviously borrowed from Earth religions but the powers of Light/Shadow work here as they do in Azeroth (with some added twist).
