With their lives in each other's hands, they set off to find aid for Marianne, wherever they might find it. All around them are the fresh scars of the war—reminders of the past, and traces of a future that never was.

Commissioned by His Majesty Ionius IX in Imperial Year 1163 to document the achievements of each of the Emperors of House Hresvelg, from its mythical founding by Wilhelm I to the present day.
In-world, this heavily biased text is a part of Ionius IX's attempts at reforming the Adrestian government. By framing House Hresvelg as uniquely chosen to rule Adrestia, he hoped to draw support for his plans to centralize more power in his own hands and away from the nobility.
