Summary
Succession is always an uncertainty. For now, Zuko remains Crown Prince, but if Azula presents as an Alpha then the crown will go to her. If she is not an Alpha, or dies before begetting an heir like her cousin Lu Ten... then it will be Zuko who will rule. This presents a problem for Ozai. Zuko is an Omega and his Alpha husband may seize power away from his son if Ozai does not choose carefully. A Fire Nation Alpha will likely have too many connections and enough legal standing to give them plenty of opportunity to take the throne, so Ozai looks to those he has conquered and finds a mate for Zuko in the son of the Southern Water Tribe's chief.

Alex blinked. After two weeks of hearing nothing but the voices of snooty men and frazzled secretaries calling in, the person on the other line now sounded decidedly neither snooty nor male nor in any way adult.
It was a little girl.
"Mr. Fox-Mountchristen's unfortunately in a meeting right now,” Alex began slowly, “but I could take a message?"
"Oh." The girl paused. "You're not Mr. Hunter."
Alex starts a new job as Henry's new assistant. Henry's daughter keeps calling the office and leaving him messages.

The first time Henry sees it happen, he knows instantly that it is not the first time it has ever happened. They’re sitting in the living room of the brownstone, the two of them surrounded by their favorite people in the world, a night of board games long abandoned in favor of mocking the eighth season of Game of Thrones.
“God, don’t you have an off switch?” June groans, laughing as she chucks a piece of popcorn in Alex’s direction while he rambles passionately about the international legal implications of the Red Wedding. Nora cackles. “Whatever you do to thank Henry for putting up with you, it’s not nearly enough. Jesus, I can’t believe he put a ring on your loud mouth.”
Or: Alex is fine. Really, he’s fine — he just wants Henry to stay, even if Alex is too much. Henry just wants his husband back.

“I’m glad you both see it that way,” Dr. Chen says. Then she closes her notebook and folds her hands on top of it. “I think I’m starting to get a sense of where the issues lie. The good news is that you’re both here, and you’re both willing to work on this relationship. That’s promising. Not all of the couples I see are even at that point.”
“Sorry, what?” Henry says, voicing Alex’s stuttering thoughts as well.
(After one too many fights at work, Henry and Alex are assigned mandatory reconciliation therapy by their boss. Except the therapist thinks they're there for couples therapy... and surely, a bet on who will break first makes more sense than actually correcting her, right?)

Summary
Druk only allows his bewilderment for a moment however, before teeth close firmly around his ankle and tug him insistently down the bed. Zuko flails out to steady himself as he is nearly pulled straight off the end, grabbing the footpost to keep from falling. “Druk!”
But his dragon is unrepentant, trotting loudly over to the large door to their chambers and clawing at it with a whine.
Concern finally reaches past the confusion, and Zuko hops down and snags a robe for himself before throwing the door open. “Where is he.” It is soft, and knowing, and Zuko feels the quick panging ache of frustration that he forces himself to fight back down.
It will not be helpful, not with this.
Or: Sokka has a flare up of an old wound, and Zuko helps him through it.
