Steve Harrington knew he was different from a very young age. Not because of his infatuation with his best friend from a young age, which none of his male peers seemed to have towards their male friends. Not because he seemed to be far more behind in reading than any of his friends. Not even because of his parents reoccurring absences, dating as far back as he could remember.
Steve Harrington knew he was different because he saw things no one else could. And no one could know about it, ever.

a fic in which steve can see the "strings of fate", which is cool in theory, until his powers randomly start getting stronger, therefore more persistent and overstimulating, and he's trying desperately to keep it a secret. add a little steddie as well because why not.

Summary
In the wake of the intense battle, Hopper’s post-Russian resurrection, the Byers' move back to Hawkins, and the group’s gradual recovery, the party decided to have bi-weekly movie nights at either the Byers or the Harrington residence. After the first month of the kids and Eddie arguing over what movie to watch, Steve had decided he had enough, and they started to rotate whose choice of movie they would watch.
On May 31st 1986, it just so happens to be one Dustin Henderson's turn to pick. The day of, Dusin spends his morning looking through his own tapes and in the process, discovers a banged up and unlabeled black tape. His natural curiosity moves him to pick this as his movie selection as neither he nor his mother can remember what exactly is on this tape.Little does he know, this decision will lead to hidden truths being revealed and a complete destruction of how he views one of the most important people in his life.

Summary
What if, the night before the plan to confront Kokichi was set into motion, Shuichi had realized that analyzing the memories of the new Flashback Light created a contradiction in Kokichi's claims of being the mastermind? What if he had deduced that Kokichi couldn't have been a Remnent of Despair, and that if the mastermind was truly a member of that group, that meant that he had to be lying about orchastrating all of this? What if, much like what happened in the killing game involving the 78th class of Hope's Peak, Shuichi demanded that the next trial would be a retrial of a previous case, and their goal, to discover the mastermind?
Canon divergent from Chapter 5, after Maki shows the group the new Flashback Light about Hope's Peak and the Remnents of Despair.
