Summary
Peter Parker is nothing. He used to be something, mean something, and then he fucked up. He had everything, the whole world; two best friends, his Aunt May, and even a new budding father-like figure in Tony Stark. Now, though? He had nothing.
No more late night lab visits with Mr. Stark, hacking into government websites and building new stupid nanotech bots that vacuum the floor only if you beg it and sound like a certain Captain, or robots that twisted in all angles like infinity cubes to play ultimate twister with. No more study sessions with MJ, listening to old punk rock bands and doodling in the margins. No more lego building with Ned, building and taking apart and building that Lego Death Star dozens of times in his bedroom.
And, worst of all, no Aunt May to wake him up on his bad days with a worried frown on her lips and a fresh hot chocolate in her hands to warm him.

Summary
People were screaming running passed her and she knew she should follow but her body felt so strange. A yawning hole expanded across her abdomen and her skin prickled uncomfortably as if electric fingers were skimming over her flesh exposing fresh nerve endings. An explosion had her ducking her head but once she looked up, her stomach dropped to metaphorically scrape the road at the sight of a scaffolding coming down. She screamed and stumbled back. Directly into someone arms as they lifted off the ground in an arc, the wind blowing her hair into her face. “Hey hey! Stop screaming, I got you.” She turned and screamed again. “Spiderman!? As in Peter Parker!?”
He let her go shocked and she screamed free falling before he snatched her out of the sky. “Shhhh! How do you know that!?” With far too much finesse to be humanly possible, he landed on a skyscraper and put her down, walking backwards. “Don’t move okay? I gotta check if there's any more who need help. Don't move I’ll be back. And could you maybe not yell my secret identity out please? Thank you. Don’t move.” Annalise watched him jump off the ledge and let out a small manic laugh. He left her on the top of a skyscraper, where was she to go?

The house flinched around them, and Noah’s teeth clacked together as he jumped.
Joe's hands stilled on Noah's hips. For half a second, everything froze—the weight of the alpha, the stale heat of the room, the sour-sweet scent of alpha sweat and cheap cologne clinging to Noah’s skin.

Or: Noah has been trafficked by his birth pack for years. He's not expecting the police raid, and he's certainly not expecting to scent his fated alpha among the cops. To him, fated packs are a life sentence of suffering. So he does the only logical thing, and takes a leap out the window.
