Summary
The cold is a therapy tactic. The sudden release of norepinephrine has his bones settling back into his body almost immediately, has him looking out across the city line with a bit of wonder. Everything is blanketed in it, and for a moment, Robby's at peace.
That doesn't last as long as he'd like, and with the weather comes his undeniable loneliness. He finds comfort in his oldest friend, and maybe more along the way.

“Hey,” Jack says, pitching his voice soft and quiet. “Hey there. I’m not going to hurt you.”
The alphas usually don’t believe him when he says that, and why should they, after what they’re used to? But Jack keeps that smile up and kneels down at the alpha’s level, gently and slowly reaching in to untie his hands. The alpha doesn’t fight him, just whines in curiosity.
Jack soothes him with soft murmurs and his own scent, concentrating so he can fill the air with it. “My name is Doctor Jack Abbot. I’m here to rescue you, take you out of here, bring you somewhere safe. What’s your name?”
The alpha waits a moment, then murmurs, “Robby.”
