He pulls a spike out of his pocket once he’s sure she can’t move. “The archives were his, Gertrude. That means I am entitled to them. I've been patient, I really have. I know what you're planning. I know that petrol isn’t to stop the ritual of the Dark. I didn’t want to believe that, but I cannot allow you to damage My archives further. I really am sorry..”
“You’re just like Elias..” Gertrude croaks out.

The fledgling angel blinked in slow understanding. Seemed an awful lot of responsibility for something that was only a few seconds old, but already being kind felt like second nature. If that was all he needed to avert catastrophe, it probably wouldn't be too much trouble.
"Uh, okay!" He chirped. "So how do I do that?"
The angel stared hopefully up at the sky in anticipation.

In his own body again, but world-weary, softened, EXTREMELY powerful, and all around done with this shit.
Obviously he has to prevent the apocalypse, and his friends' deaths. And if his experience the first time around taught him anything at all, the world really is just avatars endlessly throwing themselves at each others' throats. He knows he's resigning himself to a life playing the part of the Puppet Master, and he shudders to think how close to Elias he's becoming.
So no. Instead, he decides to save the world... with the power of friendship-under-threat-of-death.
He makes a group chat. Hijinks ensue.
