“Jesus Christ, Buck,” Croz’s voice beside breaks him out of his almost trance.
Buck looks over to his friend, it’s not that he forgot he was there - more was temporarily uninterested in his presence. He raises an eyebrow in question of the statement.
“You officially have the worst taste in men.”
He lets out a small laugh, and takes an inconspicuous sip from his glass of ginger beer.
“What?”
“I mean come on, that guy?” Croz nods back to the bar.
Gale shrugs, “I didn’t say anything.”
“You didn’t need to. You haven’t stopped looking at him since he walked in.”
Sucking in a breath Buck leans back in his chair casually.
“So what?”
“So… That boy is nothing but trouble.”
It’s not like Buck doesn’t agree, trouble is practically written on his forehead, but what so wrong with that? He seems fun, and Gale isn’t opposed to a bit of fun, it’s not like he needs to marry the man.

Mr Cleven and Coach Egan did not like one another. That was one simple fact known by the entire student body of Thorpe Abbots High. They were complete opposites to one another, Cleven was quiet and reserved, Egan could not shut up, being the centre of attention and action at all times. Egan’s life was about sports, baseball in particular, Cleven couldn’t stand them. Every time Egan talked you could practically see the detest on Celven’s face. And it seemed like Egan loved to get under the other man's skin, revelling in the idea that someone saw him as obnoxious and brash and not impossibly charming, for some reason wanted to solidify that opinion and not change it.
From the moment they started working together, everyone knew it and no one questioned it. Mr Cleven and Coach Egan did not like one another.

Now. Does Kie love the boy? Yes. Does she trust him when it comes to the flawless execution of a plan? Not in the slightest.
“Okay,” Kie tells his back dubiously as they take another twist in their journey.
They walk for a bit further, JJ pauses, looks up at the moon, twists his head around a few times, and then with a determined stride and point of his finger sets off again.
