Summary
Abaddon hates most children; they're loud, pitiful and boring. So being locked in a school with the most rowdy bunch of them sounded like a nightmare to him. The current property owner had gotten sick of him, shipping him off across the sea to promising boarding school. This was new to Abaddon, as most people tried to deal with him locally. But in the modern era he could easily be transported with only one payment. Or so he's been told.

It was nice being this close to someone again, but If you asked Rook who'd he be in this position with a month ago his mind would have jumped to Ben, not his grandfather.

Summary
It’s early December, it’s three in the morning, and honestly Katherine isn’t in the mood OR awake enough to be dealing with this. But here she is taking the half hour drive into Town to pick up Abaddon who decided to cause as much trouble as his little heart desired that night only to be caught by none other than Joel.
Alternative summary: After a serious accident the local authorities begin to question why Katherine has an Undocumented boy in her care, a conspiracy is at play and although the Freelings have contagious optimism Katherine is beginning to worry about whether or not they’ll get Abaddon back.

Summary
Abaddon’s eyes glisten. “You don’t understand,” he pleads, his voice small and shaking. “Please—I’ll behave! I’m sorry! I’ll be—I’ll be good!”
Katherine’s hand trembles as she slips the crucifix over his head, pushing down the guilt she feels. “It’ll only be for a few hours,” she says quietly. “I really didn’t want it to be this way.”
The moment the beads touch his skin, Abaddon cries out to her , a sound that doesn’t belong to a child at all. Katherine forces herself to turn away, heart hammering as she steps out of the attic. She has to remind herself that that isn’t a child, but a spawn of hell in a child’s body.
The door slams shut behind her.
OR
Katherine accidentally curses Abaddon with a crucifix, causing him to grow extremely sick. She’s left with no choice but to do everything she can to save him before it’s too late

Summary
Nathan was not well. One day, while wandering through the forest in an attempt to escape the voices that urged him to do terrible things, he stumbled upon a child sitting next to a hole, dropping pebbles. Nathan froze.
A girl… or was it a boy?
He couldn’t tell, and the thought made him chuckle despite himself. The child looked up, smiled, and in that instant Nathan knew he had screwed up—in the best possible way.
As for Abaddon, everyone had always said he was a demon. After all, why else would they have treated him so cruelly?
Or.
Nathan, who suffers from schizophrenia, finds a little boy in the middle of the forest. He brings him to the hotel and starts taking care of him.
Abaddon, who believes he is a demon, receives affection and care for the first time in his life— and it terrifies him.
