Before Val can answer, the man speaks up again.
“That was a rhetorical question; I already know. You have fluid in your lungs, and like three other diseases in your system, which are figuratively and literally eating you from the inside out. You’ll be lucky if you even last the next few hours, let alone to the morning.”
How does he-
“But I can help,” the man leans in, his showman’s grin widening, “I can get rid of that pesky disease for you, it’ll be like you never even had it. For ten whole years as well, that’s practically a lifetime!”

Summary
After attempting suicide, Thanos realises that the relationship he has with Nam-gyu will never be the same again. Things can only get better or worse from there.
“Fuck you for doing this to me,” Thanos spat, but Nam-gyu let the insults roll off his shoulders. He sat there with his arms crossed over his chest as they waited on someone to stitch Thanos up.
“Fuck you for making me have to come here with you,” Nam-gyu retorted. “If you hadn’t done this, we wouldn't be here right now.” There was a sharpness to his tone, but despite it all, he knew Nam-gyu cared. Yet, his care was what got under his skin. Why did it take a suicide attempt to get him to look at him like that?

Summary
With his life falling apart, Thanos decides to attempt suicide. When a sudden thought of his mom pulls him back, he decides to reconsider and call her. While speaking to her, he lies and assures her he's been doing well. But there's a particular lie that gets him into trouble: he tells her he has a boyfriend. When he's asked to come over with his "boyfriend" for dinner, he sets out to find someone who will act the part. Behind a garbage disposal, he comes across someone who's willing to do it.
“You’re coming with me,” Thanos said suddenly.
The man burst into laughter. “I’m coming with you? Who the fuck do you think you are? You just ruined my goddamn evening.”
Thanos grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and lifted him from the ground. He then shoved him roughly against the wall and covered his mouth with the palm of his hand. The man squirmed hysterically under his grasp, but Thanos wasn’t letting go.
“Shut the fuck up,” Thanos spat. “You’re going to do exactly as I say, or I’ll kill you.”
