Summary
Mike Wheeler is standing a mere ten feet away from him, right out in the open. Will feels like he should be afraid but he isn’t. The only thing he can think about is how perfectly well Mike blends into the beautiful scenery in front of him. The sun shining perfectly on his cheekbones, his dark hair dancing along with the trees.
“What are you doing here?!” Will blurts loudly.
“I— um, look it's not as bad as it seems,” Mike responds while walking up to Will, eyeing the half formed painting. There's a blush crawling up his cheeks, exposing him further.
“I mean it seems pretty creepy...” Will says, puzzled. On one hand he is completely unsure how to react, and on the other he can’t believe Mike has just been standing here just watching him. How long has he been here? Will isn’t sure he wants to know.
____When Will returns back to Hawkins in the beginning of summer, he is fully prepared to move on from Mike. This summer was going to be different, he was finally going to accept his fated unrequited love and walk away.
However, Mike isn’t making it so easy for him.

Will does some painting and some pining, and Mike is an idiot in love.

“My first? God, it was so long ago,” he chuckled. Chris rolled his eyes. “This phrase on my arm." He stretched out his arm towards him and pointed with his other hand at the cursive.
"So it means something, right?”
“What do you mean?” Buck asked, glancing down at Chris' sketch really quickly. It was almost done, just needed a little more shading.
“Tattoos generally have a meaning. And yours is a long sentence. It must mean something to you.”
“It does have a meaning. It’s about art, you know? About picturing what things could turn into before you actually work on it. Like you with your drawings.”
“I figured,” Chris raised an eyebrow. He’s heard about the quote before, he’s not uncultured. “What does it mean for you though?"
Chris wants a tattoo. He's very persistent about it.

Summary
After working too long in a soul-crushing corporate job, Keith finally caves to Pidge's insistence on working with them out in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountains. Keith, desperate to regain his artistic inspiration, packs up all his stuff and moves out to a desolate, phone connection-less summer in the mountains with his best friend. Along the way, he stumbles across a mystery that has him hiking all over the forest. The only catch? Pidge didn't mention that he'd be living a twenty mile hike away from them, in a cabin with another ranger - Lance, with the Earth-shattering smile, with the dozens of individually named plants in his garden, with the mediocre cooking abilities, and the magical skills on his guitar. So maybe Keith will rediscover his ability to paint, or maybe Lance will fry all of his nerve-endings before he's able to. Who knows?
Alternate description: A brief obsession with Firewatch and a few too many google searches got me really invested in the Smoky Mountains, and here we are.

Keith paused.
“If I can make you fall in love with the holidays by Christmas night, you’ll take the shift.”
Keith snorted, turning to face Lance. He kept that vaguely annoyed smile on his face, but nothing could hide the gleam of interest in his eyes.
“You’re not going to make that happen.”
“Okay,” Lance shrugged. “Then what’s the harm of taking the bet?”
Keith’s eyes rose to the ceiling, thinking.
“And,” Lance rushed in, “and I’ll sweeten the deal. I’ll work New Years as well.”
Now that got Keith’s attention.
They had drawn straws for who would work New Years Day weeks ago. It was one of the worst shifts for a toy store. Being deathly hungover while listening to kids scream and toys screech was the stuff of nightmares. Keith had lost and was stuck with the shift.
A slow grin tugged at Keith’s lips. “You’re insane.”***
When Lance gets stuck with the Christmas shift, he immediately turns to Keith, a self-proclaimed Scrooge, to cover the shift. When Keith refuses, Lance offers up a bet. If he can make Keith fall in love with the holidays before Christmas, Keith will take the shift. Nonsense straight from a Hallmark movie follows.

Now that gets a shock out of everyone.
“Did you guys really think it was a coincidence that ‘both’ of our son’s were named Christopher?” Eddie asks, he looks around holding back a laugh, “or the fact that we’re always whispering to each other.”
“Or the fact that we’ve been caught closer than any best friends should ever be?”
They could go on and on about this. They could talk about how their eyes always linger on each other in the locker room or how they arrive and leave work at the same time every single day (though, they only started doing that after Eddie’s probationary period was done). Maybe they could mention that the two of them are always making some sort of contact with each other and they could even bring up the idea that they’ve worked flawlessly with one another since Eddie’s first day here.
Nevertheless, apparently their team is just clueless.

Summary
Ben said words like “Isle of the Lost” and “descendants of villains” and “invite four students to Auradon Prep this year,” and the school was in an absolute frenzy. Doug…found he didn’t really care. Which made him the odd man out. No change there.
In which being a sidekick means being helpful, being cheerful, and never letting it get to you, how unfair it really seems. It means paying attention, and not playing all your cards, especially to the protagonists. Because Doug, his family, his friends? They're not stupid. The VKs coming to Auradon Prep means big things. But stories change, based on who's doing the telling. And fairy tales are rarely as cut and dried as they seem.
