Summary
Many years after her disappearance, December Holiday returns. But she isn’t the same, and she isn’t whole. Her body is twisted by her time in the dark, leaving her all but chained to it. She and her mother need Kris’ help to return her to the way she was and thwart the Angel’s Prophecy in the process. They don’t hesitate to agree, but in order to help, they need to prepare. They need to become stronger.
These are some of the nights they spend with Dess trying to do just that. At the same time, they do their best to return some semblance of normalcy to her life.
This along with trying to keep their feelings for her, still smoldering after so many years, under wraps.
They are successful at two of those three things.

And while they can finally reach for what they truly desire, sometimes that’s in contrast to what they think they want.
With a soul that whispers prescient instructions, and friends that seem very worried about the Dark World they find themselves in, Kris can only hope that, in the end, they can make things work out in their favour.

Summary
After their second adventure in the Dark World and their fearsome fight with Spamton, Kris had never been more conflicted in their life. These wonderful adventures had brought them joy and true friendship.
But at what cost?
As the Knight's hand drifted forward, Kris's true self and the choices of their possessed Soul, have been drifting further and further apart. Their strings felt tighter than ever before. Their wishes felt more overwritten than they have ever been. In the end, who we want to be and who we become, usually end up being two very different things.

Summary
Kris Dreemurr had been working with The Knight from the start. He didn't have a choice. No choice but to be piloted around by the SOUL as part of some larger necessary plot and not get to tell Susie how he really felt. At least until The Knight offers him one. But was that too good to be true? Freedom to live a more normal life the way he wanted? To just be a teenager instead of having to be caught up in world altering things? To just tell Susie how he felt?
It was probably too good to be true, but he was desperate enough to take that chance.
