“Well yeah, but I didn’t think… I didn’t know if you’re that kind of boyfriend,” said Atsumu.
Sakusa raised an eyebrow at him. He didn’t seem to understand what Atsumu meant, and that wasn’t surprising. Atsumu wasn’t sure what he meant, either.
After a moment, Sakusa said, “How many kinds of boyfriends are there?”
Atsumu winced. “Well, uh… two kinds, I guess. The kind you take home to your family and the kind you don’t.”
Sakusa seemed to consider that. “Which kind am I?”
Atsumu didn’t want to talk about this He wondered if he could fake a heart attack to get out of the conversation. “I dunno. That’s up to you, I guess.”

Summary
After Atsumu moved to Tokyo, Sakusa's daily routine never recovered. He no longer worked solo jobs, he doubled his spending on cleaning products, and he rarely slept alone.
Sakusa would have hated those things, before he met Atsumu.
Now he wouldn't want his routine any other way.

Summary
"How many people have you had sex with," Sakusa asks later that morning, with absolutely no preamble. Atsumu chokes on his breakfast and turns away to swallow heavily before answering.
Sakusa waits.
"Why?" Atsumu finally says, giving Sakusa his most charming smile. "You looking to be the next in line?"
Bad sex, good food, and the benefits of being friends.

Pausing, Sakusa turns to face him, something combative entering his narrowed eyes. “I never said I agree to that.”

He reached out, waited for a recoil that didn’t come, and carefully claimed a handful of Sakusa’s jacket. “But you do have to ask me out, if you wanna date me. I know I asked you before, but that was a month ago. Doesn’t count anymore.”
Sakusa’s nose scrunched. “You just want to make me say it.”
Atsumu smiled. “Kinda, yeah.”

Summary
Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them.
Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more.
Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.

“You don’t have condoms,” repeated Sakusa, his voice as flat as his stare.
“I… didn’t think about it?” It was more of a question than a statement, and an absolute lie. Of course Atsumu had thought about it: repeatedly, in great detail, and sometimes with his hand down his pants. He was embarrassed to think about how many times he’d considered going down to the corner store to buy a box, just in case this exact situation happened. But he hadn’t dared to think Sakusa would actually want to sleep with him again – not tonight, maybe not ever – and he hadn’t wanted to get his hopes up only to be disappointed.
And he’d thought that if he bought them, Sakusa would somehow know, in that freakily intelligent way of his.

Summary
Sakusa Kiyoomi would like to make it known that he loved Miya Atsumu. Truly, he did. They’ve been together for two years now, and he willingly moved in with the guy last December. For the past four months, they have learned to adjust to each other, though not without a lot of shoving, and tugging, and bending. They wormed themselves into each other’s daily routines, but of course those daily routines included volleyball, working out, eating out, and going out with friends.
To be forcefully stuck with just Atsumu for an indefinite period of time? There’s no way they wouldn’t implode.

“I said I was taking a walk alone.” Sakusa’s voice sounded odd, washed out by the low roar of the ocean. He sounded small, insignificant, and maybe he was.
“Yeah, I heard you.” Atsumu sounded the same as ever, loud and bold and always teetering on the edge of obnoxious. He stepped up beside Sakusa, maybe looking at him, maybe gazing out at the water.
“And you didn’t listen,” said Sakusa. “That’s typical.”
“I listened. I just heard what you didn’t say, too.”

"Thought about what?" said Sakusa.
Atsumu smiled to himself, smug. "You know."
"No, I don't."
"You know. Of course you’ve thought about it. There’s no reason to be ashamed, Omi-kun. I’m a real catch.”
Sakusa was appalled. "You're disgusting."
"You flatter me. I'm not judging you. I can't lie and say I haven't thought about it, too."
Sakusa shifted, slowly, to peer over his shoulder. He wasn’t scowling, but his expression was unreadable. “Please tell me you’re joking.”
Atsumu wasn't joking, and he was about to get more than he bargained for.
