Truly....
I remember being so incredibly enamoured with this fic when I first read it years ago. And coming back to it now being, for once, blessed with my doodoo memory that I could basically experience reading this fic again for the first time is just oh so good.
I’ve always ALWAYS have been a sucker for reaper!bones but OP really takes this concept and just makes beautiful magic happen. I’m just so bad with my words that I can not properly describe how much I love this fic. Every characterization, every scenario, and every piece of dialogue is so clearly crafted with thought and love for the subject at hand. Trying my best not to put out spoilers in this just in case someone ends up reading this, which is unlikely but ya never know. But god you really could just feel jim’s Burning determination to find out Bones’ secret right through the screen. The bounds and leaps that Jim goes through to try and parse the enigma that is Leonard McCoy and the events that happen because of his snooping/the events that lead to Jim being such a snoop, really put me through all the emotions known to man. God what absolute fun I had!!!
Loved reading that OP could bring in some of their own scientific knowledge into the fic because god that is so cool!!! Also absolutely thrilled to read in the comments that OP is working on the sequel and that even years later they are still going at it!!! I will patiently wait as many years as it takes because god dammit it man I know it will be so worth it!!

It is wip and op hasnt updated in a couple years but there is no cliffhanger and so completely worth it to read!!! You will not regret it!!!

i believe this is set in the same verse as ‘Icarus verse’ as there are too many similarities for them not to be.
Brightness is more like oneshots of specific instances that we are given glances to in Icarus whilst Icarus focuses more on the whole overarching storyline

i believe this is set in the same verse as ‘brightness burns’ as there are too many similarities for them not to be.
Icarus focuses more on the whole overarching storyline whilst brightness is more like oneshots of specific instances that we are given glances to in Icarus.
