Summary
When young Elizabeth Hughes takes in the Snape boy from next door one rainy night after he is injured and thrown out by his abusive father, she hadn't expected to become friends with him and Lily Evans and learn about an entire magical world hidden from Muggles like her.
When she attends Lily and James' wedding years later, she hadn't expected that she would eventually be targeted by the so-called "Death Eaters" and become a victim of a war she had only heard about since her childhood. She hadn't dreamed that she would lose her friends because of this war, nor that she would end up helping raise their orphaned son.
Looking back, though, Elizabeth has to admit that of all the unexpected developments, she had least expected herself to be sleeping with Severus Snape and falling in love with him.

Summary
Following her father's death, Sarah returns to Paris, where she is hired by the Opera Populaire's resident nurse. She wants nothing better than to lead a quiet, peaceful life, but finds herself drawing unwanted attention from some of the stagehands. When she is stalked through the opera house one night, she stumbles into a secret passageway and upon certain hidden truths of her new workplace--mostly embodied by a man who calls himself ghost.
To her surprise, the Phantom of the Opera is much unlike what his reputation makes him out to be. And to his surprise, the new infirmière seems to have no fear for him at all.
What begins as a chance encounter unexpectedly develops into something more, and Sarah finds herself unwittingly caught in a series of events that she can no longer back out of. Meanwhile, constantly caught off guard by the strange woman's behavior, Erik starts to question everything he has known and believed about himself.

Summary
Yun's recovery from her injuries sustained on Ravenhill is not going well. Things take a turn for the worse when she begins to suffer from seizures. Unwilling to become a burden to Thorin, who is all but overwhelmed by his work and duty as King under the Mountain to rebuild Erebor, she secretly takes her leave of the kingdom for Rivendell in the hopes that Lord Elrond may be able to cure her.
As she travels, Yun must also decide whether she should sit back and let the War of the Ring take its course or make use of her "knowledge" and somehow begin the quest to destroy the One Ring before Sauron regains power.
