    Teru didn’t close his eyes, that he was sure. Still, he couldn’t recall his trip to the hospital, or the first aid that the paramedics and then nurses offered him, or the horrified faces of the patients cluttering the neighboring rooms. All these details were told to him in patches by other people; the hospital employees. He supposedly went through emergency surgery less than an hour after he arrived, and the anesthetist called it a miracle that he had no sequelae. None of that he would have known.

    Nothing, nothing but his and Kageyama’s fight.

    Those memories didn’t arrive in flashes. They were burned into his brain.

    Moving in with Wade was categorically not a regret. In fact - not that he was ever going to let himself admit that to Wade’s face - this was probably the best thing that could have happened to him. But of course, he was moving in with Wade fucking Wilson who, as much as he had grown on Logan throughout their bizarre adventure, was still a human tornado. Sometimes it was really hard to remind himself how glad he was that Wade had called after him.

    They hadn’t really had an exact conversation about how long Logan was expecting to stay. Wade’s words on that first walk back to the apartment had been “Stay as long as you need - until you get sick of me, honestly!”

    “You think I’m not already there, Bub?” Logan had joked with a wry smile.

    Logan has decided he's going to try and not fuck it up this time around. He's going to be grateful for the second chance that Wade gave him when he met (kidnapped) him in that bar. He's going to be a good dad to Laura, and a good roomate and friend to Wade. Which means he is absolutely not going to let himself take Wade's joking flirting seriously, and he categorically won't get in the way of Wade and Vanessa. Even if the selfish part of him wants to.
