Each chapter follows a different pair- the people they love, the things they're running from, and how they find their way to each other.
It can be read as one-shots, but the friendship dynamics will make more sense if read all together.

“So, are we still doing the thing?” Matthew asks, full of excitement.
“What thing would you be referring to?” Hanbin asks. It's obvious to Matthew that he’s pretending not to know on purpose.
Matthew’s lips press into a thin line, then he takes a deep breath. “Way to ruin my momentum.”
“Sorry,” Hanbin says, laughing at the expression on Matthew’s face. “Please continue.”
Fighting back the sulky Matthew that threatens to appear, Matthew finds his energy once again clapping his hands together and startling everyone.
“It’s November first, this means the competition is back on, right?”
