It is normal for anyone to get sick, especially when working in the Demon Slayer Corps. The endless missions in the rain, sleet, or snow and the meager amount of resting time, particularly reserved for those in higher ranks, makes any slayer prone to a lapse in health from a struggling immune system.
A necessary evil to protect the innocent from demons they didn’t even know existed.
Of course, due to all these factors, you have contracted the occasional sniffles, or in worse times extreme fatigue. But these spells don’t last more than a day or two with minimal symptoms. Normal human illnesses were easier to handle as you have learned from experience, demons do not get sick.

Or, as the half-demon hashira, you felt it was your duty to protect others to make up for your blood. After all, you could ward off human illnesses with ease, and you healed faster than any other slayer.
No one knew demon diseases were possible though.

Rowan soon finds herself entangled in a mystery when the ghost of a long-dead girl visits her in a dream, claiming to be the previous Yuu. She warns Rowan that her arrival was no accident — someone is trapping every Alice who wanders into Wonderland, and Rowan may be next if she fails to beat the mastermind at their twisted game of fates.
Lose, and Wonderland claims another soul. Win, and their story might finally reach its end. It’s a race against time to uncover the secret behind the curse, and the only way to do that is to venture deeper into the madness waiting for her.
OR: Twisted Wonderland is stuck in a time loop, and our protagonist is not the first Yuu to try and break the curse.
