    Doumeki’s hand stopped and retracted slowly, and Watanuki despaired that the words had passed his lips at all. He didn’t want him to stop, in fact, he wanted it to continue.

    Something is pushing itself out of Satoru’s body, stretching the skin on his chest and breaking his rib cage. It’s massive, towering over the two of them, its body littered with stars and galaxies.

    Six eyes open on what would be the head, though it’s hard to tell because it has no stable form. They are a bright blue, reflecting the sky above the ocean, just like Satoru’s used to be. A mouth rips itself open, sharp teeth glinting in the sunlight.

    It’s a curse.

    It was an era where human X animal creatures could be created legally. These creatures were called "Anifusio". Not only did they possess human intelligence, they also gained animal abilities. Oh, Anifusio could transform into their animal form for a certain period of time.
