Summary
Elena and Jeremy had a secret. They had a sister, Jeremy's twin, Hermione. Hermione has yet to return to her hometown and her siblings worry everyday.
Their sibling was known in certain circles as Hermione Granger, a well placed spell over Mystic Falls kept Hermione's idendity a secret until she returned home.
Until Hermione crashes the Mikaelson Ball, clearly traumatised and in need of her siblings support.
No-one knew of the ripples Hermione would cause coming home when she did, but big ripples they were.
After all we all know Kol Mikaelson held witches in highest regard...
Klaus was not so secretly in love with Caroline...
And Elena and Elijah always had chemistry...
Could there really be peace in Mystic Falls?
Elena and Jeremy certainly hope so. Becuase Hermione had been through enough. And if anyone upset her...
Well there would be hell to pay.
Watch out Mystic Falls... All three Gilberts are back in the same space for the first time in years. And upset one and you upset them all.

Summary
Is it running from your problems if your problems consider you to be a dead imprint of consciousness that killed their son? Yes, but Danny tries not to think about how his nightmares of his parents trying to kill him came true when they found out he was Phantom.
After being on the run from his parents and the government for a couple of months, moving from town to town, Danny ends up in Gotham City and decides to risk staying in Batman's territory. He'd take the wrath of Batman over live vivisection via beloved parents or being studied and torn apart by the government. Besides, he's not a meta. Being dead is a medical condition.
