Amelia Sterling, a 25-year-old from 2026, is enjoying a peaceful self-care weekend and the latest Resident Evil 9 game when a sudden, blinding burst of light pulls her into another dimension. Initially disoriented, in her pink pajamas and bunny slippers, she finds herself in the middle of a city, colliding with Claire Redfield and coming face-to-face with a visibly older, battle-hardened Leon Kennedy.
Before she can fully process what’s happening, a holographic figure of Oswell Spencer appears, addressing her by name. Spencer’s AI legacy, Project Elpis—which was apparently more than just a cure—has chosen Amelia as his heir to continue his mission to prevent global bioweapon tragedies, tragedies he himself began.
Torn between distrust of the literal creator of Umbrella, the responsibility of knowing the future, and the chance to save Leon and Sherry, Amelia finds herself completely out of her depth, forced to navigate a dangerous world she only thought she knew from a video game.
