It would probably help, Camilla thinks every time, if she had known Gideon Nav or Harrowhark Nonagesimus for more than a few days.

The client hadn’t really requested anything at all; their emails had been almost overly polite, if not jarringly formal, and had selected only the most vanilla options on the questionnaire she provided. Certainly a far cry from the standard practices of her usual clientele, but this one had paid upfront and picked this expensive hotel, and Mira’s fees are dear enough on their own that she had been coloured intrigued.
Mira takes a left down the hallway after leaving the elevator and finds herself at the door to the room. She doesn’t steel herself—doesn’t need to. She can handle anything. Has handled most things. Mira swipes the keycard and lets herself in.
The person sitting on the bed is probably the last thing she expects.
In which Mira is a professional, Rumi is socially inept, and Zoey is also there. Let's hope nobody catches feelings.

My version of what happened during those two nights between the kiss and travelling to Zephrah. Both of them have a lot of feelings they need to work through. Mostly it's just soft and fluffy but there is some angst. The first half is a lot of talking, second half heats up a bit into... more than talking.

Laudna’s voice was soft, and there was no mistaking the disappointment when she spoke. And still, Imogen couldn’t dare to let herself believe its implication. “You think… maybe you shouldn’t have kissed me.”
“No!” The word burst out of her, more forcefully that she wanted, and it smashed through the wall that was holding back the tide of words and emotions that she was trying to contain, trying to deliver in a measured way, had been holding on to for days, months, years -
