Summary

Things have been quiet until a familiar Curse-Breaker has a breakthrough in countering the Unforgivables. A breakthrough so brilliant, that it awakens a demon from his past.
When Hermione Granger discovers how to counter the Cruciatus Curse, she garners the attention of the Reaper. Forced to put her research on hold while Auror Malfoy is assigned to protect her, Hermione struggles with the lack of workload. Her recent engagement to Ronald Weasley was broken due to her struggle to have children. With the possibility of being barren looming over her, Hermione is struggling with self-worth, grief, and life.
