Summary
Percy Weasley is not particularly reckless, until he is, once, on the anniversary of his brother's death. For most people, the idea of sending oneself through time to correct one's mistake would remain a fantasy, something to dwell on in the middle of the night, but Percy has always been too capable for his own good.
Featuring: a reluctant spy, an unlikely friendship between a ghost and a lonely student, a portrait, very few friends, several very lengthy conversations about soul magic, and far too many Horcruxes.
(Or, an attempt to answer the question, if someone intelligent was sent back through time, armed only with the word 'Horcrux' and a general knowledge of the main timeline––not to mention a keen understanding of the Hogwarts curriculum––could that person logic his way to defeating the Dark Lord? Only time will tell).

Summary
For Alexander Prince, life has been one long series of him trying to make his own place in the world. He knows how unforgiving it is, and the last thing he'll ever do is let this thing called reality break him. He'll survive, as he's always done: Alone.
But after being confronted by a vicious monster in disguise as someone he thought he knew, Alexander is forced to reconcile that his version of "reality" is all one big lie. Ancient gods with bad attitudes still exist. Anyone he sees could be some horrible nightmare out to kill him. And most frighteningly of all, a bunch of people want to be his friend now.
Apparently, he's a demigod, they say. A product of a relationship between an Olympian and a mortal. He's never met either one of his parents, so he can't exactly disprove that notion, but as he tries to adjust to this new life, one of those answers becomes clear. And it puts his life in mortal danger.
Alexander should not, by any rhyme or reason, exist. And unless he can figure out why this impossibility came to pass, he won't be alive for very much longer.
(Expect a monthly update until my other PJO work, The Other Heroes, concludes. Once it does, I'll fully devote my time to this story.)
