Summary

We proceeded with the tests on the Chaos Emerald. The fox seemed excited—almost childlike in his eagerness. But something went wrong. A conduit overload, maybe. Or some calculation he—always so damn confident—missed.
The lab exploded in green. The Emerald pulsed, alive, hungry. Sonic was fast enough to yank Miles out. Me? I wasn’t so lucky. The light swallowed me whole, tore me from my time, spat me into a future that shouldn’t exist.
And now? Here I stand. In some random kitchen, staring at a couple lost in each other.
So happy. So… pathetic.

Summary
