Summary
“Still,” Varric is saying, “the Hanged Man will always be home. Besides, with all the weird shit that happens in Kirkwall, there’s hardly a dull moment.”
Blackwall laughs. “If the world doesn’t end tonight, you’ll need to buy me a drink at your Hanged Man.”
“My my, Blackwall,” Dorian tuts, “I never took you for a man of… dwarven taste.” Varric laughs when Blackwall turns red, shaking his head.
“Sod off, mage,” he says, gruff with embarrassment.
“My opinion of you is so much higher knowing Varric has caught your eye. Tell me, is it truly the chest hair that does it for you?” Dorian teases, and Varric chokes down a laugh.
“No one is immune to my charms, Warden,” he says consolingly, and Blackwall gives an exasperated chuckle.
“Maker take you both,” he says, shaking his head.

Summary
"Shards of glass, he remembered. Sometimes it was excruciating to pull them out, and it had to bleed before it could start to heal. And sometimes, if you didn’t get them all in one go, some could remain edged into skin, hidden from the naked eye, but festering all the same."
After the team manages to finally pull Rook out of the Fade, Lucanis takes it upon himself to make sure he doesn't have to carry his burdens alone - not anymore.

Summary
Lavellan recieves the news that aid came too late to help Clan Lavellan and his people are dead or missing. But Inquisitors don't have time to grieve, because there is always a new threat to Thedas, and Lavellan pushes the feelings down, until only Dorian can break through.

“Maker’s breath, have you been wandering around Skyhold in this state?” exclaims Dorian. He is the only person in the library, reclining in an armchair, a book hanging open in one hand, another stack beside him on a side table. He has shadows beneath his eyes, as if he has not slept. Lavellan stands before him, face blank, arms hanging loosely at his sides. He can’t feel anything. The inside of his head is a fog, and his chest feels hollow, as if something is missing. He glances down at his clothing, and the mess of gore and blood, and then back at Dorian, who has stood up and is moving towards him. “Let us get you somewhere where you won’t cause quite such a stir,” says Dorian, wrapping an arm around Lavellan’s waist. “At this rate you’re going to give some poor serving girl nightmares.” He wrinkles his nose. “And a bath, I think. Not to put too fine a point on things, but you stink.”Bookmarked by Seraphyr
