Summary
Wings of Fire: Heart of Jade Mountain is an epic coming-of-age saga centered around Buck, a young human boy living in Pyrrhia. He has been suffering from trauma relating to the loss of his parents when dragons attacked his home, and he harbors a deep hatred for dragons. He is nonetheless forced to enter a wider world of interspecies interaction when he is enrolled against his will into Jade Mountain Academy's first human class of students.
However, unbeknownst to Buck, forces on both the dragon and human side are building, and Buck may very well become the central figure in the battle for the future of Pyrrhia. A savage dragon terrorist, a mysterious being from the Third Moon, and an enigmatic lodgekeeper are some of Buck's encounters on his journey. His trials will test his bravery and perhaps allow him to move on from his past, and embrace a bright new world of human-dragon peace.
As Heart of Jade Mountain is loosely based on the canon Wings of Fire series and is meant to serve as a continuation of it, spoilers for the series will be present, including Legends: Dragonslayer and Flames of Hope, from which this story’s canon diverges.

Summary
“Animus is a disease, and its cure is death.”
Rivalries. Political assassinations. Alliances spread across the entire Bay of A Thousand Scales. Historically, SeaWing animus dragons were always notably less “gifted” than some of their western, land-dwelling counterparts. In a world where IceWings and NightWings have always dominated the small world of magic, being a SeaWing animus meant being born into a system: a guild of instructors, monks, and religious leaders that had control over the use of animus-touched objects.
In many ways, these dragons also had control over animus dragons born into the royal family. But, what happens when an animus is hatched to commoners? Furthermore, what happens when they happen to be so genetically gifted they can only be compared to IceWing animi from Pyrrhia’s golden age?
