All roads lead to Rome, Dunk has heard so many people say it, but hasn’t seen physical manifestations of it. There is a cigarette hanging between his fingers, his phone in another hand. Dunk stands frozen for a moment, so many emotions flowing through his body.
All roads lead to Rome. He doesn’t know why he thinks of that now of all time, but when Joong looks up from his phone to Dunk, he straightens up. Their eyes meeting is like a buried tale of mystics, lost to time or to change. He sees the glint in Joong’s eyes, the way his mouth falls open, just a little.
