Summary
For Azris Week 2024. A story following each prompt, where Eris Vanserra navigates an increasingly more confusing relationship with his nemesis-turned-ally.
Eris is haunted by what happened between him and Azriel at the High Lord Meeting, and feels completely overtaken by the male's accursed presence. His usual snarky comments land him in trouble when the furious shadowsinger wraps his raging hands around his neck in front of the whole assembly.
"A mixture of surprise and panic had taken over Eris, sending his body into a wild, meaningless thrashing, but before he could hope to regain control of his limbs, a third, more confusing feeling had entered him. Azriel’s all-consuming presence had sent a shock wave into the place in his chest where air was supposed to be, and in its absence, a spark of joy had lit up the vacated darkness. The recognition of this had so thoroughly bewildered Eris that all hope of fighting had evaporated, and the bewilderment hadn’t left him since."

Summary
It all started when that first poem had been posted on the literature building’s bulletin board. Azriel had heard some of the girls in his class giggling about it and wondering who it could be about, but he had paid it no mind. He wasn’t exactly friendly with them, with anyone he studied with, really, and so he wasn’t one to keep up with the gossip. But as the days went by, the talk of The Poem didn’t stop, until one of the girls finally worked up the nerve to approach Azriel about it.
“It’s about you isn’t it? The poem?”...
Azriel is a Literature Student and certified Loner, until one day a poem about him is posted to the school bulletin board. Who is this pompous bastard that writes poetry as a way of flirting, and what exactly does he want with Azriel?

Summary
Then his face came into view, and she wondered if it wasn’t his icy rage that had cooled the room down. His eyes were dark with the promise of pain, his full mouth twisted into a bloodthirsty sneer, and she marveled at how his breath fogged out black in front of him, snaking and twirling around him like an aura of darkness.
Just as she was ready to meet her end at the hands of this beautiful harbinger of Death, this warrior angel ascended from the deepest pits of Hell, all malice melted away from his face. Heartbreak and fear contorted his lovely features as he gazed down at her, whispering, “You’re safe now,” and somehow, despite everything, she knew she could believe him.

Autumn Winds Across the Sea by ShadowsAndLint
Fandoms: A Court of Thorns and Roses Series - Sarah J. Maas

Summary
The winds here nearly felt sentient, like they were the true rulers of this crust of land, this neglected precipice that marked the end of the Autumn Court towards the Eastern Sea. And in a way they were; those eternal winds had formed the land in a way no High Lord ever could, outliving even the most stubborn souls. They would still be here when all life was gone, as they also existed long before it had begun.
...
Eris opened his eyes slowly, already knowing who was intruding on his practice with the earth. And instead of the canopy of leaves dotted with evening skies coloring in his vision, all he saw was darkness and shadow, a faint blue glow lighting up sharply chiseled features and cold hazel eyes.
This is a vulnerable story of Azriel happening upon Eris after one of Beron's beatings.

Summary
" “Why must you always be such a disgrace?” his father had wheezed between clenched teeth only hours before, seated at the head of the long table, when Eris hadn’t been able to help himself by arriving casually late on purpose. Eris had simply drawled his apologies, straightened his already perfectly centered emerald green cravat and taken his seat next to his fuming father, his mother flashing him a look of well-hidden concern before averting her gaze."
This is Eris' POV from my other little Christmas-y one shot.
Eris Vanserra is forced to play the part of obedient son when participating in the Autumn Court's official Solstice dinner. He hates the masks he must wear, remembering a time in the past year when he had been able to be more himself. Under the guise of commemorating Solstice, he decides to send a gift to someone he feels indebted to. But he is not so sure that is the only reason.

"The sounds of his family’s happiness warmed his heart, and Azriel almost felt content; there was only one thing missing. A flicker of bittersweet longing filled him, but he resolutely tried to push it down when Rhys clapped his hands and declared it time for presents."
This is a small Christmas-y one shot from after Silver Flames.
It's the Winter Solstice, and the Inner Circle is celebrating in their usual style. Azriel feels like an outsider to his family's happiness, and is unable to share fully in their joy.

Summary
Trigger warning trauma/depression
She could have cried right then if she wasn’t so gods damned empty. The stone in her chest felt like it contained all the tears in the world, like it would drown her if she let it go. She held onto it tightly, rebuilding the defenses keeping it in place, commanding herself to lock it up. No one – least of all her – wanted to see all the ugliness she could pour into the world if she didn’t hold herself back.
...
This is the part of Nesta's story that falls between book three and five, which is alluded to in both ACOFAS & ACOSF.
Nesta is struggling with depression and trauma from the war with Hybern. She is retracting further and further into herself, pushing everyone away and developing some self destructive coping mechanisms.
The story begins when Nesta decides to invite that first male into her bed.
