Summary
Shane Hollander is tired of wanting someone he cannot have, and he’s dying as he waits for someone who will not stay. Someone who doesn’t want to stay, not when there are so many others waiting for him. Fun of another variety, Shane left a treat amongst many.
It’s humiliating. It’s distracting. And it feels like shit.
He wishes he could erase his feelings, move on as easily. In an effort to gain back control over the ‘situation’ that has become his romantic attraction to a notorious player, Shane attempts at imitating Ilya Rozanov’s methods until he perfects them and becomes as good as keeping it light and casual as his rival.
Or Shane tries to Hoe Phase himself into a self discovery journey to choke and kill his feelings for Ilya Rozanov. Ilya is not the only who suffers from it, but he sure feels like he’s being choked and killed.

The card is plain white with just four words
“Roses – your new favourite.”
The first bouquet had arrived on 14th February 2011. It was stunning. Shane had stared at the lilies in complete bewilderment, convinced there had been some mistake, that they couldn’t possibly be meant for him. Who would even send him flowers? Flowers like this didn’t just show up for Shane. Maybe they were from a fan, he’d thought; they looked far too expensive, far too elegant.
Then he saw the card. No name. Just three words.“Your favourite Lilies.”
Shane stares at the roses like they’ve personally betrayed him. His phone is already in his hand before he realizes it.
Jane: Lilies are still my favourite.(He deletes it immediately.)
Jane: You are still my favourite Ilya.
(His thumb hovers, trembling. And he slowly deletes every single letter.)

Summary
“-can’t see each other again,” Ilya says, looking only at Shane’s hand, holding it so, so gently and stroking over Shane’s skin so, so softly. The soothing feeling of it makes it very hard to focus, but Shane tries very hard to do it anyway. “I tried-we tried, but this can’t happen again.” It takes a moment, but Shane finally manages to make sense of the words, and he lets out a soft noise of understanding.
Ah. He’s apologizing that he won’t be able to see Shane in the hospital again before he leaves.
“I understand,” he says, and he does. It was probably really hard for Ilya to get here even once, and it can’t be very long before his plane leaves. He’s sad, of course–they didn’t even get to spend time together, really–but it’s not like this will be the last chance they ever have to see each other. He gives Ilya his best attempt at a smile, and if it comes out a little sad, too, all Ilya does is reach out to stroke the backs of his fingers gently over his cheek.
(ilya goes through with his plan to break up with shane in the hospital) (the problem? shane is too high to understand that he's being broken up with)
