Summary
When Jinx fell down the Hexgate, she thought she was going out with a bang. She even wanted to -an end to all her suffering.
She didn't expect to wake up in a sunny field, in a strange land with a beautiful young woman looking down at her and calling her a hero . . . when all Jinx wanted to do was finally rest. If death was like falling asleep, this was some kind of nightmare.
Meanwhile, Luxanna Crownguard desperately needs help. She's on the wrong side of the law and has been since birth, while her perfect older brother was a hero that didn't make her mistakes. Her mentor is fighting a revolution against her country's affluent and oppressive leadership, and her mute best friend needs protection, all while a foreign army threatens invasion.
For Jinx, it's a very strange mirror to look into. But can she let someone else suffer what she had? And along the way, can this new person thrust into her life bring light back to it?

What if she did tell the truth from the start?
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty rewritten around the best line (in my opinion) in the expansion. An alternate take on the story, deriving post-"Chippin' In" quest.
Would telling the truth change the final outcome? Would it bring the long-awaited happy ending? Or will it bring eventual downfall for both of them?
If only life in a dystopian world like Night City was that simple...

Suddenly, Jinx raised her head and then looked back at Caitlyn, blowing her bang out of her face. “You know… You may think you’re all high and mighty with all your money, noble house, and lovely long legs” – Jinx’s eyes flickered down to Caitlyn’s legs (heat flushed her cheeks) – “but you’re no better than me. There is not a single person in this city who doesn’t have a skeleton in their closet.”
“Whatever my sins are, none of them top being a lowlife terrorist,” Caitlyn spat, somehow hoping her words would make this joke of a woman drop dead.

“‘Take care of her,’” Jinx finally whispers into the darkness of the room. Caitlyn’s eyes pop back open, and she stares at Jinx questioningly. “That’s what Vi said… before she… before she let go,” she answers, her voice trembling at the end. Swallowing hard, Caitlyn’s eyes fill with grief and tears. She looks away and hastily wipes at them. “Figured the least I could do was make sure you didn’t die tripping over a carpet,” Jinx mumbles, making a poor attempt at a joke. Caitlyn nods, tries to speak, but a sob is all that comes out. She covers her mouth and turns away.

S2E9 alternate ending: inspired by the early concept art of Vi falling instead of Jinx. In the wake of Vi's death, Jinx and Caitlyn must both learn how to move on without her. Forging new lives with new friendships. While Caitlyn is slowly swallowed up by grief and guilt, Jinx remains determined to honor her sister's dying wish. It may not be easy, but maybe both of them can find a way out of this together. If they don't kill each other first.
