The typical adorable post-sleep display in progress, nothing unusual at all.

He moves to sit on the comforter and stops himself upon noticing a distinct, mud-colored stain on its surface. Mob is staring at him expectantly; he reaches for a smile and manages a grimace. “In and out, remember? Simple as that.”

Set pre-series, when Mob is eleven years old and has been working for Reigen for about a year.
Summary: After a job goes wrong, Mob is hurt and Reigen knows it's his fault. Whilst Mob is in the hospital recovering from his injuries, he agrees to meet with Mob's mother to talk things over, and learns more about Mob's past.
In which Reigen discovers a lot about Mob's trauma, his family, and realises the boy's importance in the his life.

"Mr. Reigen." Mrs. Kageyama's voice is suddenly sharp. "There are some things we need to discuss. Not over the phone, not tonight - can we meet, tomorrow? At the hospital cafeteria?"
It's true. There are many things they need to talk about, but Reigen doesn't want to talk about any of them. He doesn't want to talk about endangering Mob, or how he's been using him for a year, or how he fucked up. But he owes it to the Kageyamas, after everything he's put them through. He owes it to Mob to end things properly. If he does it right, he might even get the chance to say goodbye.

Summary
He didn’t usually initiate phone calls with people and had never had a call with Hanazawa in particular, so his hands felt sweaty as he scrolled through his phone for the right contact. Pacing up and down the corridor, Mob brought the phone to his ear as it connected.
The call rang once and then went to voicemail.
“Hi, you’ve reached Hanazawa Teruki: perfectly ordinary middle school student. If you’re hearing this, I’m probably out doing boring stuff like fighting evil and saving the city, but I’ll call you back when I can.”
Hanazawa always had his phone on him, and he always, always responded to phone calls, despite the “boring stuff” his voicemail claimed to occupy him. The only time Hanazawa turned off his ringer was during tests and today was their day off from school.
Mob had a bad feeling.

The entrance exams are only a few months away and Hanazawa has been isolating himself. Mob wants to find out why.

Honesty is always the best policy, of course… but right at this moment, concealing from Shigeo’s parents the facts of their first meeting seems like it might be an equally good policy. Nothing spoils a nice family dinner like manual strangulation.

The client’s voice almost became background noise as he sat there, rubbing his fingers together and spreading the ash-like substance further across the tips.

Summary
Hanazawa Teruki is miserable and bored. At the age of sixteen, he has everything he could ever wish for. He comes from a rich family, goes to a fancy private high school and rubs shoulders with only the best of the best.
And yet, something is missing from his life.
In a moment of boredom, he makes a bet with his friends that he’d be able to charm anyone with his charisma alone and get them to kiss him without making the first move. When his friends point him to a random guy passing them by, he doesn’t expect much trouble.
Too bad Kageyama Shigeo isn’t at all what he’d expected. And he might just have to learn to be a bit of a better person before he can get anywhere with him.
