Levi grew up in a world where he watched those he loved get slaughtered as though the lives they lived were fragile and meaningless.
That was years ago, years ago in a time where every day was something that could be easily taken away in an instant. Even though he now lived in an era where titans were no longer a threat to the people, he couldn't help but feel as though he needed to sleep with one eye open.
The blood he spilled on his hands back then almost made his hands feel wet despite nothing staining his sink as his rubbed his hands under the running faucet. His gaze fell onto the scars and calluses on his fingers, and he wondered how long he planned on living in the past.

I absolutely love this story, as it reminds me of how my favorite kind of smut is that with a story attached to it. It's also written in one of the few ways where I believe a reader-insert would actually work for this series.
The author also creates very lovely art for the fic in an almost screencap-esque way for certain scenes.

So I was digging through the Persona tag when I remembered reading this story well over a year ago. I actually searched until I could find it after my sudden realization.
I love it. It's a long tale carrying itself over the course of Persona 4 while following a second-person perspective. It's the reader-insert fic with a female protagonist in the shoes of Yu Narukami.
I don't know when I'll sit down and re-read it again but I would most definitely be lying if I said this wasn't one of my favorite stories (for the Persona series at least).

This story is so, so sweet. The romantic part of it makes me think of old-fashioned shoujo manga, and the first thing to come to mind is the anime adaptation of the original Fushigi Yuugi.
