Summary
Ever since Nightwing had joined the Justice League, everyone had noticed that Batman had become more open.
There had been so many theories regarding Batman that he wasn't an actual person. That he was an android. That he wasn't real. But all of that had been disproven (even way before Nightwing had joined, but some people disagreed) when Nightwing joined.
Nightwing teased Batman and barely got a glare while people like Hal got the Batglare. Nightwing touched Batma without dying. It was rare to even tap Batman's shoulder withot getting hit.
So it was safe to say that there were some questions.
OR
The Justice League notices that Nightwing and Batman are very close. They eventually learn why after Wally shares some information.

Five stares at his back, his mind stumbling over his brother’s words, uncomprehending. He’s held his heart out in his hands for them to see, and all they’ve done is step on it, dismissing him, like his efforts are for nothing.
He can’t help the laughter that spills out of his mouth.
It has been for nothing. Stop the apocalypse, save the world, keep his family alive—those are his goals, but what has he accomplished? Nothing! He’s stood in the wreckage of his hubris at thirteen, burying the only people in the world who mattered, and he’s about to do it again, in the same body as the first time no less.
Isn’t that ironic? Isn’t that hilarious?

Grace was silent again, looking at this boy she’d raised who claimed to have grown up so much while he was gone. Yet, looking into his eyes, she still saw that little kid who refused to eat the broccoli left on his plate—or who thought he was above being given a proper name like his siblings.
Or, Grace tries to take care of Five after he's injured.
