Summary
Lyonel Baratheon has become Lord Paramount after the death of his older sickly brother and has decided to go on a Lord’s Progress before he throws a courtier out of a window for saying some nonsense like “how to cultivate a sustainable growth mindset” or “wood witch regulation and licensing”. Also, it keeps him as far away from his Mother, who is scheming to marry him off as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, in the Mistwood, the widowed Lady Meryl Mertyns has struggled through a hell of a year. The spring sickness, drought, wildfires, and her husband's cousin stealing her son's birthright. To add insult to injury, a raven from Storm's End says that the Lord Paramount has denied her son's claim. What an arse!
But then, Lyonel shows up at their gate on his Lord's Progress and acts like nothing happened. Just what is going on?

Summary
Years have passed since you last set foot in Storm’s End or saw Lyonel Baratheon. But when he invites you for a weekend, you can’t resist… and what begins as a simple visit quickly turns into something far more interesting, and more intimate, than you ever expected.
_____
“My Lady,” he says, voice steady and respectful. “Storm’s End welcomes you. I trust the road treated you kindly.”
“As kindly as a long ride can,” you reply, dipping into a small curtsy. “Thank you for inviting me. It’s good to see you again.”

Summary
Through the dim fog skating across the crowds, his eyes can’t help but find yours. His compass point north even through all this blood, death and warring.
Even from afar he spies how they shake with barely restrained tears. Silver beading at your lash line. Your face as gaunt as he’s ever seen it. Sombre as a tombstone.
You’d leapt from your seat like a lightning bolt went through you, when Maekar brought down his horse with a spear. You’d cried out. Yelped his name across the mud like it was holy. Hands planted on the balustrade. Eyes wide.
As if you’d been wounded and not him.
His intended had stayed firmly in her seat.
