“Yeah, do you also hold and cuddle all your friends at the edge of a snowy camp when you think no ones looking?”

The ache of his injuries never left, Lady Tsunade healed what she could but the dull ache and pins and needles never truly left.
Normally it was something he could ignore, an excellent motivation to continue his training despite the pain, and if his team saw him pause to take pain medication they never said anything. As long as he keeps his mind busy he can almost forget the debilitating pain.
Still, it wasn’t anything he couldn’t push through with hardwork and determination! Right?

Summary
No matter what Lee did, he was always an extremist, from training to interacting with his friends Lee always gave 100% all the time. And with that Lee was also a very physical person, passing touches, frequent hugs, dragging someone along, which meant that if you were within a five foot radius of the taijutsu master he was probably holding onto you in some fashion regardless of who you are.
Well, that was true for all of Lee’s friends but one, Gaara. Lee rarely touches Gaara, and when he does it is either from necessity or out of excitement which is quickly corrected.
And Gaara hated it

Lee's love language is basically physical touch and Gaara notices that he's the only one left out of that affection. He's also touched starved and doesn't understand his own emotions.
