Summary
This is what Qimir's jealousy is like: formed out of his wound, thickening his skin, marring him, becoming part of him. And then, it touches Osha, slips inside her, and the friction it creates only makes her clench around him.
"Have you done this before?” His grip tightens around her waist as he spits between gritted teeth. “With your master?”
She hates him, sometimes.

Summary
Every morning, he woke up from his death. He could feel it in his body, the way his blood poured out of him, leaving him cold and weak. The pain so intense he went numb, immobile, even though he tried to struggle. Her arms wrapped around him as he faded, but he couldn’t feel them—he could only see the panic and devastation in her eyes, hear her sobs, her pleas for him to be okay.
He wasn’t okay. He wasn’t dead anymore, and his phantom injuries caused him no more pain now than they had after he’d gone numb, but he wasn’t okay. He was still cold. He still heard her sobs.
“I’m here, we’re both safe,” she said, voice soft as velvet, replacing the scrape of her screams in his ears with the soothe of her sweetness, easing the ache they left behind.
His body relaxed. His heart slowed. The buzz on his skin sputtered out as his lungs caught up to his breath, calm radiating out from where her hand rested on his skin.
Of course her touch helped. He could barely feel the weight of her palm, really, and only the tips of her fingers burned against his skin, but she anchored him effortlessly, dissipating his stress and anxiety.
