I tried to throw in some plot for it all to make sense, so here we have the seemingly omniscient Morozova's stag pulling Mal into some kind of groundhog day in order to get a HEA for everyone.
Rated M mostly for language. Mal dies, naturally, but nothing too graphic.

In her rapture of the moment, she's forgotten his touch and doesn't notice when he quietly draws them back to himself and watches her, in admiration. A smile blossoms in her expression, and a peal of laughter follows it. She's holding a small sphere of light between her palms, and the light itself reflects in her dark gaze.
