Having fought through space and time to find each other, Fitz's plan to rescue Jemma is shattered when Kasius realizes he lied about being Boshtok the Marauder. His punishment is a blessing and a curse: they're both sold into slavery, but they're sold together. At first, they don't know anything about the man who bought them, but as they learn more, it becomes clear their bond will have to become unbreakable if they hope to survive the road ahead.
(TLDR: Fitzsimmons is sold into slavery and tortured a bunch as they try to get home)

She cracked a smile as Ruthye entered. Clark’s plain black shirt hung baggily off of her frame and bottoms of her checkered blue pajama pants dragged along the floor with each step, and she scowled at Kara when she saw her face.
“Do not laugh. Obviously the clothes do not fit, as they belong to a man with a much larger frame than I.”
“I’m not laughing,” she lied. “Come here.”
Kara’s first impressions of Earth drove her to abandon it. Now, coming back with Ruthye in tow, she does everything in her power to make sure Ruthye’s first experience will be better than her own.

Summary
Clarke feels like she’s underwater, breathing in glass. The air feels syrupy, but raw against her throat, and she has to squint if she looks at the sky for too long. The yellow-blue plants of this planet burn her skin if she touches them for too long. It’s hard to get up after she’s been sitting down for more than a few minutes, and it feels like something is pressing down on her shoulders every time she takes a breath.
It didn’t take long for Clarke to realise that something was wrong. No one else did, but she doesn’t expect them to because what's wrong isn't the planet, it's her.
