Steve glances over his shoulder to where Bucky’s standing right in a sunbeam at the entrance to the kitchen. He looks half-awake, golden-brown hair in a bun at the nape of his neck, his plaid pajama pants pulled askew, revealing just the waistband of his boxers, and his chest bare. “A pet?” Steve scoffs. “You only just learned how to use a microwave, you think you can take care of another living, breathing organism?”
“Took care of you for twenty years, didn’t I?”

Why the fuck had he even bothered to change?
