Summary
When John Price's… partner went MIA, presumed KIA (hoped KIA) on a mission to take down the Zaragoza cartel in Mexico, Price had eventually been forced to come to terms with the fact that he was never going to see him again. He'd done the work to accept that, to stop letting it consume him, to start living his life again, without the man he'd been sure he'd spend the rest of his life with.
A decade later, while he's on a new mission to take down Zaragoza, Price is faced with a ghost from his past, a zombie maybe would be a better description; Simon certainly hauls himself out of the grave like one. Simon doesn't remember him, Simon doesn't even seem to remember English anymore, let alone who Price is to him…
…was to him.
And so starts Price's new mission, the only one that will ever matter again: to get Simon back from Roba's brainwashing, to convince him he's a person, to convince him he's safe, to help him live again when his brain has been turned inside out.
To help him remember.
He has to remember.
All those memories can't just- they can't just be gone.

Worse ways to go, Simon thought as he watched the man peek around the corner before he left his cover and stepped out onto the roof. If he was lucky, mohawk would have mercy and make it quick, even if a bullet between the eyes would be a kinder ending than he knew he deserved.Ghost never escaped Roba and now roams Mexico as the cartel's assassin. This is a collection of partially finished fics or outlines of fics that I have not started writing. The vast majority of of these fics will likely never be fully written, but I wanted a place to post them in case people enjoy these little bits or in case anyone is inspired by the ideas in these fics. If I finish an idea in here I will delete the chapter to post the fic. Because I do not write linearly, there will be breaks in the text where story I have not yet written belongs. Mers had no need for human currency, but once the cartel had established itself within the communities, the spread grew worse, an eerily similar pattern to the way drugs and violence took over countries on land.
Either way, mers weren’t *friends* to humans. The only reason that wars hadn’t broken out throughout history was because humans hadn’t been able to access the deeper ocean until very recently, and mers had no need for land. Now that humans could access the water, the risk of a war was quite a bit higher. -
