“Mmthanks” Soap mumbles and moves back to fully sit in his chair. He is definitely not thinking about the ways Simon is visual and tactile as well.
Simon hands Soap his journal and waits for Soap to say anything more. Which he doesn’t because he can’t because Simon has said things to him that no one has ever said. It’s the opposite of his nightmare from last week. He’s sitting in the office of someone who would’ve been his superior if they were still enlisted and he’s being told he’s talented and intuitive like it’s nothing. But it’s not nothing. It’s everything.

He let his eyes run over them, lingering only as long as he felt necessary to make Roba think he was appreciative.
"They're quite lovely. You're a man of good taste and it shows in not just your estate, but your slaves." He wanted to bite his own tongue off as he said the words, knowing now that this week would be more challenging than he initially thought.
"Which would you like?"
John blinked. "I'm sorry?"
"As our honored guest, you have your choice of our best offerings. Whichever slave you choose will be prepared to your liking and sent to your room for the duration of your stay."

John MacTavish finds himself in the castle of a cruel ruler who is rumored to have his eye on the Garrick crown. In a desperate attempt to infiltrate his ranks, he must keep the king occupied while Price puts his ear to the ground.
The only problem is that the king's desire to show off his human collection had placed John in a difficult position. Johnny tilts his head, assessing him. “Could be worse. You got caught in the blast, took some shrapnel. Doc said you were lucky—couple inches to the left, and you’d be down a kidney.” He hesitates, his frown deepening. “Scared the hell out of us, mate.”
Simon hums, the weight in his limbs making it impossible to do anything more. He’s too exhausted to argue, too drained to tell Johnny that he’s not worth the concern.
Not that it would matter.

I don't want to be your goddamn pal or your lieutenant or the fucking Ghost to you."
Johnny couldn't look him in the eyes, couldn't peer into his blown-out pupils because he already felt too fragile under Simon's frantic stare. He inhaled through his nose, nerves twisting his stomach into knots.
"What do you want?" he asked, barely audible over the tremble in his voice.
"I want to be everything. I want you to feel like you can't breathe when I'm not around, I want you to forgive me for acting like a grade-A arsehole and a coward the past few days," Simon breathed, dropping his forehead to Johnny's and letting his rain-soaked lashes fall shut. "I want to be Simon and I want all of you, always, until someone finally kills me and puts me out of my misery."
