“Nobody’s threatening anybody,” short guy growled.
“Uh, I hate to say it, but the man has a point,” tall guy said. “I mean, I’m hacking his panic room right now, that’s a pretty threatening action. If I were him I’d feel very threatened.”
“Thank you,” Bucky said triumphantly, before belatedly realizing exactly what the man had just said. “And stop hacking my panic room!”
“Mmm hmm, okay,” tall guy said agreeably, a second before the the panic room locks disengaged with a dull clunk. Bucky careened away from the door and grabbed the closest weapon at hand, which happened to be the ladle he’d been holding when he’d made his slapdash retreat from the kitchen. It still had some romesco on it.
Maybe he could fling a bit of spicy sauce into the intruders’ eyes before they murdered him. Sure, he’d still be dead, but at least they’d have to break out the eye drops. Vengeance would be his.

“Unfortunately, I am,” says Q. “And believe me, I’m much more put out by it than you are.”
When James Bond goes missing and is presumed dead yet again, the only person MI6 deems suitable to take his place is the man responsible for planning all of his outstanding missions: Q. Entirely against his will, Q finds himself thrown into active service as the new 007. Much to everyone's surprise, not least Q's, he turns out to be a natural. He might even be a better 007 than Bond ever was.
And Bond's not going to stand for that.

Summary
Derek stands frozen for a moment, disbelieving, before his hands come slowly forward. Its fur is surprisingly soft, and he buries his fingers in it as he strokes his way down its back. He catches its hindquarters on instinct when it springs out of the cage and onto his chest, shoving it face cold nose-first into the crook of his neck, and beneath the rumble of its purrs Derek can still make out the careful ticking of its heart.
If he leaves it here, it's going to die alone. It's a sentence he knows all too well.
“What sort of paperwork do you need me to fill out?”
